We're located in the heart of the downtown. Centrally located, you can easily get to us from any area in Paradise, including a quick drive from Magalia or Chico. Here's a map, but if you get lost, just give us a call and we'll tell you how to get here.
The Wine Room & Pub started in 2007 when we decided to add wine tasting to our gift business, Fir Street Gallery & Gifts. Fir Street was opened in 2001 after we purchased the old Taylor Meats building and created a new lodge pole facade in conjunction with the Revitalization project for downtown Paradise. Having grown up in Paradise we really wanted to revive the downtown.
The Wine Room & Pub, started as a small room within our gift shop, for tasting or enjoying a glass of wine and purchasing bottles to take home. It quickly grew out of the small space and has been pushing the gifts over as more tables, a bigger bar, big screen tv and more space for our wine and beer selection grew. In 2014 Fir Street's gifts were moved into the adjoining retail space so that The Wine Room could expand seating to accommodate all the new customers who had heard about the incredible food. In 2015 we took over the whole building, moving Fir Street Gifts into it's own space, moving all or wine and beer for off sale into "The Cellar", leaving room for our customers in the bar and restaurant.
We are a family run business and our employees are family to us. We pride ourselves on a knowledgable staff who are always striving to learn more about wine, beer and pairing our food choices to compliment what you're drinking or eating.
Our dining is on a first come, first served basis. However, if you have a large party, are planning an event, drop us a line and we'll hook you up.
